Every year, in time of starting a new session of the school, you need new pairs of uniform for your kids too. It is an emotional journey to buy those white and bright colors dresses for every parent; not because of the reason that their child is growing up but for the fact that within a few days those bright uniforms will be covered with glue, paints, ink stains, mud, remaining of lunch and many other things.

For all the experienced mothers; one of the regular schedules in the evening is washing the school uniform by scrubbing all ways possible to get rid of those tough stains. Although, it seems like every time consuming and boring work, that you have to do almost every day; there are some tips to make your daily struggle a bit easier.

Stain Remover: If the uniform has a tough spot that is not going with normal washing, then you should not be rough with it. At that moment, you might be assuming that the only way to remove the dirty spot is vigorous scrubbing with all of your efforts, but the stains may spread over the fabric of the uniform. Along with that, the scrubbing will damage the texture of the clothes and cause the fabric to thin and as a result it more likely to tear during the daily activities of the kids. The best way to get rid of tough stains is to pre-treat with a stain remover that will help to loosen the dirty elements from the fabric. If you don’t have a stain remover, you can make a thick paste of Safed detergent and apply it on the affected area.

The temperature of water: As you have to frequently wash the school uniform, we recommend to use cooler temperature unless the clothes are heavily soiled. It will help the colors of the uniform to retain for long. When you are washing the clothes in the water with cooler temperatures like 30 degrees Celsius, then the scope of water bleeding from the fabric is much less. In winter, for the sweater or blazer; it is better to soak them in white vinegar first to set the colors firmly.

Care to Patches: Almost every school uniform has the emblem of the school name. While washing, you have to take care of the patches. You don’t have to be rough while scrubbing on the embroidery as it may unravel. It is recommended to wash the clothes inside out to safeguard the patches. In the washing machine, you can use a washing bag to get the best result.
