Printed tees have become a fashion fad among the millennials. And you would surely have several printed tees in your wardrobe. Printed t-shirts come in various designs. Some have a company logo, event memorabilia while others might come with quotations from your favorite movie or depict your favorite character. However, most popular among them are the cotton tees coming with witty quotes or images. While custom print t-shirts with personal images are also quite trending nowadays.
If you love wearing stylish tees then you should keep them in good shape too. And when you care for them sufficiently, they last longer too. If you wash them like any other outfit, they will start degrading pretty quickly and lose the charm. Taking all these factors into account, today we would like to provide you some tips that help in preserving the looks of your printed t-shirt. Here it goes…
- Turn it inside out: There are two benefits to this rule. Firstly, it will protect the designs on your t-shirt and secondly it will provide better cleaning. By turning the tee inside out you protect the design from facing agitation due to the force of water. This friction, within the machine, mostly causes cracks to appear in the printed design. If you have ever washed a t-shirt inside the washing machine, you must have experienced the horror of seeing it come out with cracked images and faded colors.
- Wash them in cold water: Through our vast experience in the detergent powder industry, we can advise you to wash all t-shirts in normal or cold water. You should wash them in warm water only when they are really dirty. The plastic-like property of the designs, on these cotton shirts, is highly susceptible to hot water. When these designs come in contact with warm water, the designs peel and crack.
- Wash in delicate cycle with gentle detergent: Delicate cycle causes less agitation and there are fewer chances of wear and tear on your printed designs. Less wear and tear can be easily equated to longevity. The use of gentle but effective detergent, such as Safed detergent powder, is also recommended as it causes the least wear and tear.
- Sort the Loads: It is important to sort the load when you are machine washing the t-shirt. Do not mix dark shades with the light ones. Also, differentiate the clothes based on their dirt levels. Ideally, you should never put other dirty clothes in the same cycle as your printed tees.
- Avoid Wrinkles: Wrinkles can damage the t-shirt, so you should remove the clothes as soon as the washing cycle is complete.
- Fold them up: Do not put the dried tees on a hanger. They should be folded neatly and arranged inside the wardrobe. This process helps them last longer and look appealing.
When we formulated Safed detergent, we wanted to keep the product gentle as well as strong. This is why printed t-shirts that are washed in Safed not only look blemish-free but also last long.
