Steps to remove mud stains from the clothes:

It may seem surprising that the first thing you need to do is let the mud dry. Though in case of food stains you need to take immediate action, for this case, you have to do the reverse case. Here are the steps that you need to know about the process:

Step 1: As we told before, you have to allow the mud to dry as the wet mud will make the scenario worse.

Step 2: Now take a dull knife or brush and gently scrape away the mud from the clothes.

Step 3: Make a paste of Safed detergent and water and apply that on the stain and let it dry for 15 minutes.

Step 4: Now take a wet toothbrush and scrap the detergent. Then gently rub the brush with little water on both sides of the fabric.

Step 5: When you are satisfied with the cleaning, wash the cloth properly to get rid of every other stain.

Step 6: To wash the cloth, take a bowl of water and add two scoops of detergent powder.

Step 7: Soak the clothes along with other soiled garments on the tub.

Step 8: Wash the detergent away with running water.

Step 9: Air dry the clothes in proper sunlight for the best result.

The above-stated procedure is for cleaning the dark mud stains. In case the stain is from red mud, then you have to take some different method.

  •   Just like the dark mud, you have to let the mud dry naturally.
  •   Then again you have to remove the dried mud with a knife or brush.
  •   Now take your concentrated liquid dish wash and pour it on the stain.
  •   Sit the liquid on the stain overnight.
  •   Next morning, take a wet brush and wash the stain off with little water.
  •   Now you have to follow the normal cleaning process either in a bucket or in the machine with detergent powder.
  •   If any trace of stain still remains on the cloth, you can try rubbing alcohol and do a repeat machine wash for best result.
  •   Make sure, the cloth should be air dry so that the stain will be removed permanently. Remember, you have to avoid tumble dry for the mud-stained clothes.
